About Casey
I found Svaroopa® yoga in 1994 while searching for help with chronic back pain and scoliosis. I found relief (and so much more!), fell in love, and dove in the deep end, becoming a teacher within a year, then a teacher trainer and yoga therapist the following year. And I've been teaching, coaching, and offering private yoga therapy ever since - 25 years and counting! Where has the time gone??
I was a teacher trainer for the original Master Yoga Foundation for 8 years, traveling nationally and internationally to teach hundreds of budding yoga teachers the intricacies of Svaroopa® yoga, anatomy, and yoga therapy. For those of you Svaroopis out there, I taught the first Foundations of Svaroopa® yoga! I've completed more than 2,000 hours of Svaroopa® yoga and therapy training (list of certifications and trainings).
My affinity is working one-on-one, customizing poses and sequences for each person. Core Release does wonders to relieve pain (back pain, knee pain, neck pain ... you name it!), helps with anxiety and headaches, improves sleep, and gives you an improved mood and outlook. Basically, it helps you get through your days. Beyond that, Core Release allows an inner unfolding that is the heart of yoga - allowing you to dive into the deeper dimension of yourSelf. This is the true gift of yoga - experiencing yourSelf in a more profound and more real way.
I currently teach advanced classes and workshops, and see private clients in person and online. I have always loved animals and if you've visited me, you know my family members have 4 paws and wings. Aside from competing in both agility and K9 Nose Work with my dogs, I practice Healing Touch for Animals®.
